1. What is The Archival Series – Folio 3?
Folio commemorates the legendary Macallan advertising campaigns of the 1970s, ‘80s and ‘90s that took the brand to a wider audience. The series draws together a curious memorandum of stories, anecdotes, drawings and photographs through which we examine how a remote farmstead on the River Spey came to produce what is widely recognized around the world as the supreme example of the craft. Folio 3 is the third in a limited series in The Archival Series.

2. What are the tasting notes of The Archival Series – Folio 3?
Nose: Vanilla pods combined with spices of ginger and cloves overlaid with soft oak. Orange peel lingers in the background.
Palate: Rich and spicy on the palate with cloves and a slightly herbal note. Subtle ginger warmth with a fruity citrus explosion.
Finish: Medium finish – a balance of sweet oak and vanilla.

3. How much does the whisky cost?
The RRP is £195. The actual Sales Price may vary according to local taxes and duties in the respective market to which the product is shipped.

5. What extra charges might apply for delivery to my chosen country?
All alcohol products sold by The Macallan Online Shop are sold subject to UK alcohol tax. If we are exporting products to an address in the European Union (EU) prices are subject to the appropriate rate of VAT and alcohol tax depending on the delivery country.
For all deliveries outside of the EU, UK VAT will not be charged. However, your order will be subject to local sales taxes and duties upon arrival in your chosen country, which are levied at the time the package clears customs. All additional charges are the responsibility of the recipient. As customs policies vary widely from country to country, The Macallan Online Shop has no control over these charges. Please contact your local customs office for further information.

PURCHASE QUESTIONS

6. I haven’t received an SMS confirming my verification code, what do I do?
Please allow up to 2 hours for your verification code to be sent to your mobile. If you still do not receive a message, please email shop@themacallan.com.

7. How will I know if I'm successful in registering for the chance to purchase a bottle?
After successfully registering for a bottle you will see an onscreen message and you will receive a confirmation email from The Macallan shortly after. If you have not received a confirmation email, please check your SPAM box. If the email is not in your SPAM box please email shop@themacallan.com for assistance before 23:59pm (UK time) on Tuesday 15th May 2018.

8. How will I know I’ve been successful in obtaining the chance to purchase a bottle?
After registration has closed, all registered consumers will be entered into a ballot to be randomly selected for the opportunity to purchase a bottle of The Archival Series – Folio 3. From Monday 21st May 2018 consumers selected from the ballot will receive an email providing a link to purchase. This link will be valid for 72 hours and allows the purchase of a single bottle of The Archival Series – Folio 3. We aim to inform all applicants by the end of June if they have been successful.

9. How many bottles can I order online?
Online orders are restricted to one bottle per person. This limitation is to ensure The Archival Series – Folio 3 is available to as many consumers as possible.

10. Why do I need to provide my delivery details when entering the ballot?
We request that all entrants to the ballot provide this information on registration to ensure that the delivery address is within the 27 countries which we can deliver to.

11. Why do I need to verify my mobile number?
We will send you a unique code to validate your mobile phone number. This number will be used to contact you regarding your ballot entry should you be successful.

12. Which countries do you ship to?
The Archival Series – Folio 3 is available to order for shipping to: Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, the UK and the Channel Islands.

13. When will I receive my bottle?
The time for delivery will vary depending on the selected country however we expect most orders to be delivered within 10 working days. If you have not received your bottle within 10 working days of ordering please contact email shop@themacallan.com.

14. Can I specify a delivery date?
Your order will be delivered by DHL. You will receive a DHL shipment notification which will allow you to track your delivery and delay delivery until a specific delivery date using the holiday hold option.

15. Who will deliver my bottle?
Your order will be fulfilled by our fulfillment partners Mail Marketing UK and it will be delivered by DHL. You will receive a DHL shipment notification which will allow you to track your delivery. A signature will be required on delivery.

GENERAL QUESTIONS

16. Will Folio 3 be available to purchase from The Macallan Visitor Centre?
Folio 3 will be on sale from The Macallan Visitor Centre at The Macallan Estate from 10:00am UK time on 3rd May 2018 on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note The Macallan Visitor Centre and Shop will be closed to the public from Tuesday 8th May onward as we prepare for our new Distillery and Visitor Experience, opening in summer 2018.
